Merdan Taplak, Belgian-Turkish hybrid deejay and producer, playing live with his oriental beatbrassbandMerdan Taplak Orkestar.

Born in Antwerp, infused with Turkish folkmusic through daddy’s satellite-tv. Reworking Turkish folk music with his energetic liveband, while playing the ba?lama onstage himself. Deejaying since 1998, pimping folkmusic since 2008.

Merdan Taplak & his Orkestar are quite the versatile bunch, from hosting a stage at Tomorrowland 2022 and cranking up clubs in Belgium and Europe, to performing on radioshows and composing movie themes.

Debutalbum Haydi (elektronik interpretations of oriental inspirations) is a selection of 10 reworked classical Turkish folktracks and was released on March 3rd, 2023.
